Greetings, I am sure you all are enjoying the beautiful
mornings, the same as I. I see these days as an opportunity
to again spend time consecrating and affirming the inexhaustible
resources of Spirit within us and around us. Once again an
opportunity to count my blessings and express my gratitude.
One truth teacher explains it this way;“God
is a great mind reservoir that has to be tapped by man’s
mind and poured into visibility through man’s thought
and word.This quote has become
an everyday affirmation for me. It reminds me that with
God we manifest our good.
I know all that read this column,
are familiar with the growing church on the corner of Hwy.
78 and Ben Davis. Yes! I may say growing with enthusiasm.
We are now in the process of building our educational extension.
Jesus said, Whatever you ask
for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it
will be yours. (Mark
11:24). Our congregation and extended church family have
been in affirmative prayer for this event. Jesus proved
this formula for prayer again and again, often giving thanks
for God’s answer before it was visible.
We all know it is a proven fact, if we tell ourselves enough
times we CAN’T,
it becomes our truth. This brings to mind something my
Grandmother always told me, when I was in a can’t
state of mind: CAN”T
NEVER CAN. This is not a new concept; this
was Jesus’ way
of doing things. How can the message be any clearer?
There are so many negative challenges in our world today,
how can I change anything? Is this what you are thinking?
You could change that, with thoughts of gratitude for
the many positive events and the many blessings in your life.
Try a week of the following
-
Another day in the grind, why me. Or Thank
You God, I have a job.
-
These children are driving me crazy. Or These
children are my gifts and the future.
-
My Electric bill was horrendous; I
am headed for the poor house. Or Thank you God,
I am able to pay my electric bill, and for this lovely
home I have chosen.
I could go on and on, but I am sure you get the idea.
How you conceive and express is how you will
live. It is your choice. When things about me are disturbing,
I turn to God and Divine Love. Since God is part
of all creation and abides not only in us but also in
our environment, and surroundings, and the circumstances
of our lives. Recognizing and living with this
knowledge we see ourselves and our world through Spiritual
eyes, no longer dwelling upon disorder and in harmony.
Having a God filled attitude, you will find wherever you
go, people will be glad to see you. Whatever you do,
you will do easily and successfully. Whatever you need
to decide, you will decide wisely.
I would personally like to express my thanks, first to
God for the wisdom and the knowledge to write this month's
column, and to you the readers for taking time to peruse
and hopefully take away a bit or two for creating peace
and harmony in your world.
I would like to leave you with a quote from the book Patterns
for Self-Unfoldment by Randolph and Leddy Schmelig:
Each
of you has always suspected that life holds a promise for
you. A promise of joyous fulfillment beyond all expectations.
Now at last you may begin to expect all your dreams to become
manifest. The first requirement for this is An
Attitude of Expectancy.
God Bless,
Rev. Paulette
