Everyday Miracles |
 |
So far
this has been an amazing summer. With our children's
wing complete and growing in number. And with
the blessing of our effective teachers, our
accomplishment is remarkable. The project of
church beautification is moving rapidly. Yes,
Our reflection of God through answered prayer
is immense.
Personally I have again experienced much joy
this summer, The participation of members
and the love and harmony at Unity of Sachse
is an everyday miracle for all to see. There
is no question of God's presence in this radiating
center of peace and healing of mind, body
and soul. To be a part of this is to share in
the miracles.
I, as many others
have experienced summer visits from family,
these have kept James and I quite busy, and
added to our daily miracles. The special trip
of the summer for me is a cruise with my
daughter and grandchildren, during which I
have taken advantage of the beautiful energy-filled
surroundings to share with my church family.
As I sit here
looking out over the water and reflecting on
an experience our first day at sea, it brings
a smile to my lips. I stood at the ship's railing
with my eleven year old grandson, Seth. We were
both quietly enjoying the water when Seth spoke, "Grandma,
the water looks like God poured blue dye in
it." My heart
was touched by the beautiful way my grandson
described God's miracle. It is our very nature
as Spiritual beings to be happy. To delight
in living. to be the joyful reflection of our
creator. To see God in all we look upon. Yesterday
we went ashore in Mexico. It was the children's
first visit. Their faces, filled with awe and
excited inquisitiveness about the different
culture. filled me with elation. It is one thing
to read about and look at pictures of a place,
but a different experience to be there.
We are always being faced with appearances,
they may appear to be different but each is
a part of creation. It is for us to remember
that where ever we are and what is before
us, God is within. The beauty is always there.
But, top often it takes a child's open mind
to see God radiating through creation.
On this trip, I have spent a time each evening
in prayer. Jesus said, that when you pray, ask
as if you have already received. Be thankful,
joyous, filled with gratitude for all that God
has already provided. We must learn to lift
our vision to that high place where truth and
light are forever shining forth. We must always
work from within, rather than from appearance.
True prayer is never addressed to a Being outside
ourselves nor does true prayer expect anything
from outside our own being. "The
Kingdom of God is within You," Recognizing God
to be the reality of our being we know that
all good is inherent in Being, yours and mine.
Properly speaking, there is not God and You,
but God is ever manifest in You. This is the
oneness which assures you of infinite good.
God is the Life, Mind, Body and Substance
of Individual being, We should all live in constant
recognition of this truth.
Communion with the spirit of God within you
inspires you to be more, to live more; to
walk with confidence and always rejoice in the
abundance of God's everyday miracles. They are
always present — not just on summer vacation.
I invite everyone to visit Unity Church of
Sachse each Sunday as we worship together
and share the teachings of Jesus our wayshower
to a life of wholeness
Blessings,
