"Relax in this moment and allow God to work within you. Your life is blessed with wholeness, peace, and the assurance that all is well in."

Greetings;
April has certainly been another month of blessings, I use the word another with enthusiasm, as blessings for me are an everyday occurrence. Here at Unity of Sachse, we are all surrounded with blessings. First and foremost God, and then each other, with understanding God lives in each of us.

This column I have decided to devote to Prayer. What does that word mean to you? How do you experience prayer in your life? How do you include prayer in your everyday living? Most days do you feel you are to busy to pray? Other times do you feel distracted by challenges, worry and concern? But aren't these the times we most need to Pray? It is at these times we need to experience the peace giving soothing Love of God. The ever present love that lifts us over the "mountains" and "hurdles" of our life experience. As I contemplated these questions, I thought about something I had read. Life is like a melody, and between the notes in the melody are pauses. We can fill the pauses of our lives, no matter how brief they are with prayer. Prayer brings each of us back to the source of our being---God---- and helps us enjoy the melody of life to its fullest. (D. L. Cameron).

Times with God are so special. They are peaceful moments, moments of Thanksgiving, moments in which we feel the presence of God filling us, Yes! we are resting in the love of our creator, our Father. In these moments we do something so powerful and yet so simple. It is here we stop. We stop rushing, stop worrying. It is here we just experience God.

This is a wonderful way to begin each day, to handle stress or worry. What a releasing activity Prayer is, It is beginning our day with a conversation with our Father, recognizing and giving thanks for the blessing of this presence that we can stop and talk with at any moment we choose.

I think of prayer as a mental, physical, and spiritual pick-me-up. When giving thanks for the positive outcome I need in any situation, I know my possibilities are with out end. This has certainly happened time an again in my life. I gave thanks in prayer for the opportunity to serve, I was blessed with this wonderful Church. I gave thanks for the growth, that would take place in our new church home. Welcome all, for our growth is abundant. I give thanks each day for the resolution of all challenges and my answers always seem to be apparent, God puts someone or someway before me.

We also need to realize even when our prayers are not answered in the way we feel they should be, we can know there is always something better for us. We can know God is in the midst of our experiences and that as we pause in prayer and allow God's loving presence ample activity within us, we will be blessed.

As you pray, as you stop and fill the pauses of your life with an awareness of God, truly you will experience greater peace and the ability to cope with challenges you are facing.

Yes! Dear friends just stop each day and spend time with God, you will find the melody of your life to be joyful and fulfilling.

I Invite you to come and join us Unity Church of Sachse as together we worship with prayer and thanksgiving for all that God is and all that God is in our lives. Yes, as we believe, so it is.

Blessings,
Rev. Paulette

But Jesus beheld them and said unto them, with men this is impossible;
but with God all things are possible.
