TURN
YOUR POSSIBILITIES INTO REALITIES |
 |
We all have possibilities, which are our prospects,
aspirations, desires, and sometimes our dreams;
our manifesting and fulfillment of these become
to us our reality.
Charles Fillmore in The Revealing Word defines
reality as: That which is abiding, eternal, and
unchangeable, the same "yesterday and to-day,
yea and for ever" (Hebrews 13:8). The basic
principles of mathematics and music are real,
because they are not subject to change. A wrong
application of their principles may produce discord,
but the principles are not disturbed. God is the
one harmonious Principle underlying all being
and the reality out of which all that is eternal
comes.
We create our realities in mind, our thoughts
are where we manifest or create the fulfillment
of our good…OR the error thinking which
manifests the lack and discord in our life. We
need to concentrate on the creating of our possibilities.
Remember the words of Jesus our Teacher and Wayshower,
Seek ye first the Kingdom
of God. (Matthew 6:33),
and everything is possible
for him who believes. (Mark 9:23).
We know the I AM of each of us is our God quality,
the spark of divinity, which lifts us above a
mere physical and mental being, giving us dominion
over our results.
Consider the poem by Lowell Fillmore:
The Answer
When for a purpose
I had prayed and prayed and prayed
Until my words seemed worn and bare
With arduous use,
And I had knocked and asked and knocked
and asked again,
And all my fervor and persistence brought
no hope,
I paused to give my weary brain a rest
And ceased my anxious human cry
In that still moment,
After self had tried and failed,
There came a glorious vision of God's power,
And, lo, my prayer was answered in that hour. |
Also consider what Ernest C. Wilson said in his
book Every Good Desire, "Every good desire
of the heart shall be fulfilled, either in ways
that we anticipate, or in other ways that in God's
sight are even better."
Wilson in this same book reminds us of the legend
of Aladdin and the magic lamp. As the story goes
the boy finds the lamp in a cave, and it is in
desperate need of cleaning. So Aladdin in his
desire to clean it for practical use, discovers
the genie. Wilson says, "the genie appeared
in response to a human effort. He refused to come
in response to selfish greed. The story teller
seems to be telling us that the practical attitude
is often more productive than the miraculous,
and from the practical point of view rubbing the
lamp means putting to the best possible use the
things and talents we possess."
The truth is, we are more than human, we are
divine! We are the offspring of God, and partake
of God's nature. Many people plod along accepting
their self-imposed weakness and lack of fulfillment
in life. If this is a matter of fact for you,
then STOP!!!
What you think and what you are, what you say
and most of all what you do; are of vital importance.
First of all, to yourself – and then to
the world. You are here for a specific purpose,
to do a certain work. That work is first and foremost
the development and unfoldment of your life!
Wonderful possibilities are wrapped within each
of us. In fact you have never dreamed in your
most inspired moments, of the great richness and
beauty that God dreams for us. To quote Wilson
again, "You would, if you would but give
yourself a chance. Persist. You can if you want
to enough."
Remember, with God, all things are possible!
(Matthew 19:26)
